Cranleigh Rotary Club – Concerts For The Community 2021

The Concert Band Of The Surrey Yeomanry in Snoxhall Park
Saturday 18th July 2021 – 3pm to 5pm

The Band of the Surrey Yeomanry is a 30 to 40 piece concert band based in Reigate and Redhill. Originally formed in 1964 as the official band of the Surrey Yeomanry (Queen Mary’s Regiment), the band is now managed as a regular concert band, but maintains an affiliation with the Regimental Association. Michael Withers has been musical director of the band since 2015 and has directed and conducted performances in a variety of locations including Eastbourne Bandstand, Westminster Abbey Gardens, Coram Fields and at many locations in Surrey. The range of music played by the concert band is very broad and can include music from all periods from the classical to the modern popular. Typically the bands programme includes selections from shows with anything from Rodgers & Hart to Andrew Lloyd Webber, dance band music of Glenn Miller to Jerry Herman, light classics, film themes and modern pieces written specifically for concert bands. A BUCKET COLLECTION WILL BE TAKEN AT THIS CONCERT FOR: Cranleigh Scouts, Cranleigh Guides, St Joseph’s School & College and the Cranleigh Rotary Charity Fund

London Welsh Rugby Club Male Voice Choir at Cranleigh Arts Centre
Saturday 23rd October 2021 – 7.30pm

The Choir of the world-famous London Welsh Rugby Club has established itself over the past two decades as one of the premier male voice performers in the UK. Highlights include: a tour with the British and Irish Lions in New Zealand; tours to Scandinavia, Asia and across Europe; several appearances on national radio and television; sell-out concerts in the UK and at rugby internationals and other sporting events. The Choirs defining moment was performing at the London Olympics in front of a worldwide audience.
