Event Details

A Magic Mirror, a sleeping Princess and a handsome Prince come to Guildford this December with their annual ice pantomime!

Spectrum Ice will be transported like never before by a magical fairytale wonderland this Christmas as the popular pantomime ‘Snow White’ takes to the ice. The three day festive ice show will run from 14th to 16th December and will feature performances by some of the region’s rising skating stars, along with some special guests!

Snow White’s father, the powerful King remarries the beautiful, but wicked Queen! She is jealous when the powerful magic mirror says that ‘Snow White’ is fairer then she! And orders the huntsman to kill her! The huntsman can’t kill her as he is best friends with Snow White, so leaves her to hide in the woods.

Snow White then meets 7 dwarfs who kindly invite her to stay with them. The wicked Queen finds out where Snow White is hiding and goes to find her. Disguised as an old lady she gives Snow White an apple which then poisons her.

The spirit of the forest casts a spell on her which saves her, but sending her into a deep sleep which can only be broken by ‘true loves kiss’. Prince Charming enters to lift the spell from Snow White, which awakens her and they all, except the evil Wicked Queen, live happily ever after.

Their annual pantomime is an exceptional production with all the skaters coming from Spectrum Ice School, the biggest ice school in the UK. It is a real community event brought together by an incredible array of talent, lavish costumes and sets. Choreographed and created by Melissa Galvin one of their top skating coaches. This year they have gone guns blazing turning Spectrum Ice Rink into a theatre with sounds, lights and effects which can be seen in the West End.

One of the region’s best value Christmas shows, this adaptation of a classic story promises to have all the ingredients of a truly spectacular family treat.
