New Lawyer for Lynn Murray & Co.

I have just joined the well-established Law Firm Lynn Murray & Co. in Cranleigh who up until now had dealt with let’s say, the more pleasant aspects of life! Having received a warm welcome and lots of support, the new Family Law Department is now up and running.

I was asked to write this article and introduce myself to Cranleigh so I will attempt to do that in a positive way, as you will understand it’s quite difficult to ‘showcase’ being a Divorce Solicitor as no one really ever wants to find themselves facing family break-up.

Sadly 1 in 3 marriages end in divorce, it is commonplace in our society. The impact on the family going through it can be very traumatic, the legal process is complicated and can be harsh and for this reason, if you find yourself in this situation it is crucial that you take legal advice as soon as possible to attempt to reduce the fallout for all involved.

I have worked as a family solicitor for over 20 years within this area and I have come to realise that a pragmatic approach is very important to finding a solution quickly which allows for all involved to move on physically, mentally and financially undamaged. This is the way I work, tackling the situation before me positively and constructively by providing both professional and personal support to my clients. Breaking up is never easy but by keeping a complete sense of perspective and relaying that to all involved I can honestly say that it is possible to come through this process unscathed, I’ve witnessed it and there is definitely life after divorce!

I have had the opportunity of working with some of the best and most respected Barristers in this field and if the situation requires their input, they are on hand, to provide advice and further assistance.

I also specialise in co-habitation agreements, pre-nuptial agreements, children law and breaking up if you live with your partner and you’re not married. Whatever relationship you are in it is important to be aware of the legal consequences should you part, not very romantic, I know but sadly not having the correct protection in place can have devastating financial consequences. If you would like to come in and have a chat with me, I offer a first half hour of advice free of charge. – Michele Cooper
