Alfold Tennis Club

Looking out at the courts from our Club room

We are a thriving tennis club situated just off the A281 at Alfold Crossways, half way between Horsham and Guildford. We are now gearing up for the new season and after a very miserable winter are really looking forward to playing in the warmer weather.

We have 2 hard courts, both of which have floodlights for evening play. With over 150 members we have regular structured practice sessions for our members. There is an on-line booking system for the courts.

The big news is that we have a new tennis coach starting this April. Warwick Pistorius is our coach. He is local and passionate about tennis coaching and has been actively involved in tennis in the local community for the last 10 years. We are lucky to have him since he is very busy coaching at a number of clubs and is often over subscribed for his coaching sessions.

He will be running term time coaching programmes, regular tournaments for players of all levels and encourage competition, holiday camps and inter-club matches and tournaments. If you want to find out more please contact him (see details below).

We have our own club room at Alfold, overlooking the courts and well used for coffee or wine after tennis and the various social events that we hold throughout the year. We have an allocation of tickets for the Wimbledon Championships when we all feel inspired to play better! Alfold Tennis is affiliated to the LTA and also to the Alfold Sports Council and Social Club which is a multi-sports activity and social club serving the surrounding areas.

Social events are held throughout the year and there is a large bar in the Social Club which all Tennis Club members are welcome to use.

Our subscription costs are very low so please do look at them on our website.
