Cranleigh Country Market

CRANLEIGH’S BEST KEPT SECRET IS CHANGING

CRANLEIGH COUNTRY MARKET has been trading in Cranleigh for 37 years; it’s like a mini farmers’ market with everything under one roof.

Since opening in 1980 we’ve been operating on a weekly basis, recently from The Bandroom on Fridays. However, we’ve noticed that our customer’s needs have changed and so, as of 7 April 2017, we will be open on a monthly basis on the first Friday of each month, 9.15 -10.30am. Our venue will remain The Bandroom, Village Way, Cranleigh. If you’ve never heard of us before this is what you’ve been missing:

Baked goods – cakes and savoury items ready for you to eat fresh or freeze

Jams & marmalades – made only with fruit and sugar. No setting or gelling agents used

Chutneys – fruits and vegetables preserved only with sugar and vinegar

Seasonal plants – grown locally, so will do well in your garden

Seasonal garden produce – picked and packed the evening before sale; they can’t get much fresher than that!

Crafts – knitted articles, patchwork, handbags, jewellery, greeting cards, smocked items, to name but a few

Bird boxes – hand crafted to a high standard

Free range eggs – just what it says

Honey – when available, from hives located in either Wallis Wood or Godalming

Our green footprint – most of our produce travels a maximum of 5 miles

Our ethos is: if it’s not home-made, hand-made or home-grown, we don’t sell it!

All of our cooks hold the RSPH Level 2 Award in Food Safety in Catering and their premises have been awarded Grade 5 Hygiene Certificates. Baked items are made the day before sale “for you to enjoy fresh, or freeze, by people who enjoy baking” and contain no added preservatives or colouring.

To help us celebrate our new regime on 7 April, if you spend £10 or more in one transaction on that day, we’ll give you a free cup of tea or coffee as well as a generous piece of home-made cake. We hope you’ll come and visit us!
