Heritage Open Days at the Napper Centre
The newly restored Napper Centre, the 15th century cottage on the High Street that became the first Cottage Hospital in England, opens to the public for the very first time.

St Nicholas Church, the oldest building in Cranleigh and dating from 1170, is open across the same weekend. Visit heritageopendays.org.uk and search for Cranleigh.
Cranleigh History Society
Thursday 10th September, 8pm, at the Band Room. “Our Changing Village”, celebrating twenty five years of the Cranleigh History Society. The society meets on the second Thursday of each month.
Shamley Green History Society
Wednesday 16th September, 2.30pm, at the Jubilee Room, Christ Church, Shamley Green. Please note this is a new temporary meeting place while the Arbuthnot Hall is being refurbished, with parking available on the opposite side of the road.
“Dear Mum, I’m having a lovely war”, an illustrated talk by David Rose on postcards and correspondence sent and received during the First World War, with an emphasis on those from Guildford and parts of Surrey. Cranleigh Choral Society: Come and Sing
A free taster session at 7.30pm on Monday 21st September at Cranleigh School, in the Merriman Music School building. No audition required.

Cranleigh Film Club

Bosom Friends at the Park Run
Bosom Friends will be walking the Park Run on Saturday 5th September in their T shirts, to raise awareness of the group. They meet every Friday from 12:00 to 1:30pm at Alpher Coffee at Cranleigh Village Hall.
Memory Lane
- Arts Centre meetings, 1st and 3rd Monday of every month.
- “Walk Around the Park” in Knowle Park, 10.30am every 2nd Monday.

Weekly walking group
Tuesdays at 11am, a 60 to 90 minute walk, meeting at Cranleigh Leisure Centre. A good way to get fit, see what is on your doorstep and make new friends.
Looking ahead to October
- Sunday 11th October, 10am to 2pm. Vinyl fair at the Bandroom. Lifelong collectors, curious newcomers, teenagers and fully paid up grown ups all welcome.
- Sunday 25th October, from 10.00am. Japanese Festival of Culture Open Day at Rikkyo School in England, Guildford Road, Rudgwick RH12 3BE. Traditional dance, Kendo, calligraphy, a tea ceremony, origami, a bazaar and Japanese food served from 11.00am to 2.00pm.
