Cranleigh Arts launches its 2026/2027 programme on Tuesday 8th September at 1.00pm with the award winning Scholfield-Clarke Duo.
Richard Scholfield (saxophone) and Iain Clarke (piano) are one of the most exciting Scottish chamber music duos of their generation. Their close collaboration for over a decade has resulted in an energetic and engaging presence.
Richard has been praised for his “silken” sound by The Scotsman and also works with the major Scottish orchestras. Iain is in much demand as a staff pianist for the London music conservatoires as well as London orchestras. Their artistry as a duo was recognised with a Tunnell Trust Award.

The programme
Their dynamic and colourful programme will include Debussy’s Rapsodie pour Saxophone, music by Piazzolla and Decruck, and Bizet’s Fantasie Brillante sur Carmen.
