Experience the Spirit of Japan at Rikkyo School’s Festival of Culture

Experience the spirit of Japan at the Japanese Festival of Culture Open Day, hosted by Rikkyo School in England on Sunday 25th October from 10.00am, at Rudgwick in West Sussex.

Rikkyo School welcomes visitors to explore Japanese traditions through a programme of performances, activities and cultural displays.

What is on

Highlights include a student performance of Soran Bushi, a traditional dance, and Kendo, alongside demonstrations of Japanese calligraphy and the ceremonial art of tea preparation.

Interactive experiences will give guests the chance to try origami, Japanese language basics, chopstick etiquette and more. Themed classrooms and a tour of the estate offer insight into the school’s unique educational environment.

Food and refreshments

A bazaar and traditional Japanese food, served from 11.00am to 2.00pm, will be available to purchase, with refreshments for sale throughout the day. Card payments are accepted.

This annual event is a wonderful opportunity to immerse yourself in Japanese culture and enjoy a unique day out in the UK.
