Anyone for tennis? Why not consider Birtley Club?

You would be hard-pressed to find a more beautiful site: just off the A281 towards Guildford, a left turn past Birtley House, a few hundred yards before the village of Bramley, our club is surrounded by rolling hills, lambs in spring, the occasional deer, many smaller mammals, and of course, soaring broadwinged birds.

Birtley members are friendly and welcoming, and if you visit the club on a Saturday afternoon, or on a Tuesday evening (both ‘roll-up’ times) you will find friends to speak to, and a four to join on one of three superb, flood-lit courts. If you feel nervous, perhaps after a long break from the game, others will put you at your ease, and if you wish, you can join coaching sessions of all standards, particularly one called ‘rusty-racquets’,where you will quickly improve.

Children are welcome and have various coaching opportunities appropriate to their age and/or standard with experienced, patient, qualified coaches.

For experienced players, there are league matches, mostly at weekends. Members play in matches appropriate to their standard, and gain confidence as they find they actually can win and perhaps be promoted!

We sometimes have social events, or events which make money to improve facilities even more! We have an annual club tournament, which always attracts members’ interest, particularly if someone unexpected wins an event. That person could be you! Our subscription is not the lowest in the area, but we believe our facilities are second to none and the surroundings superb. Why not pay us a visit at the times suggested, or perhaps contact Membership Secretary, Francesca Stern on 01483893856?

We will be happy to hear your thoughts
