Cranleigh Swimming Club – Open Meeting

Cranleigh Swimming Club, based at Cranleigh Leisure Centre, is a friendly Swim- Mark-accredited club with an enthusiastic group of swimmers from 7 years and over. As a competitive club, Cranleigh swims in a number of galas and open meets, as well as hosting its own home meets 3 times a year. Cranleigh Swimming Club has 7 coaching squads for their swimmers, from Teaching up to Senior, with a Senior Student squad for GCSE and above students who are busy studying but still wish to swim and compete. All coaching is provided under the guidance of Head Coach David Whorlow who is supported by a team of experienced and qualified coaches. The club has 5 training sessions a week: all evenings (except Wednesdays and Saturdays). The training sessions are divided between Cranleigh Leisure Centre and Cranleigh School. All swimmers are welcome to join our club.

Cranleigh is pleased to be promoting its Autumn Open meet on October 15th. With the changes to the County Qualifiers this year, this is the perfect meet to gain qualifying times. We have included a larger number of 100m events and created more space for 200m and 50m events to allow more swimmers and also younger swimmer to compete – note the 100m IM (individual medley) is for younger swimmers looking to gain experience of medley transitions. Entries opened at 8.00am on 22 September 2017 and close on 6th October at 12.00pm, so you still have time! However, please submit your team entries as soon as possible to avoid disappointment. Individual entries will be considered if there is space available. To find out more information visit our website: www.cranleighsc.org/
