Memory Lane: September 2026

Last month, Memory Lane were pleased to welcome back Dr Jill Rasmussen, who is a national authority on Alzheimer’s. She was a great help to the carer guests, who are now updated on the latest developments regarding the support they have and how to manage their partner who is experiencing dementia.

September starts off with a meeting in the Cranleigh Arts Centre, when the carer guests meet together and share their concerns over a cup of tea, while their partners are entertained by a professional music team.

After a welcome tea break, everyone is welcomed back into the auditorium for the joyful physical and mental exercise.

A free event, no need to book.

This follows a week later with an outdoor activity, when Memory Lane meets in Knowle Park to enjoy a walk together, finishing with a sing along over coffee. Singing is usually led by Ann Berisford, who accompanies the singers with her ukulele.

The final meeting in September will be at 2pm on the following Monday.

Meetings in the Arts Centre are on the 1st and 3rd Monday every month. “Walk Around the Park” is at 10.30am every 2nd Monday each month.

There is always time for a cup of tea and a chat.
